We had the most outstanding Sunday lunch at Oblix. The food was delicious, the service a clear 10/10, and the cocktails were amazing. I haven’t felt so positively about a restaurant in a long time and I will undoubtedly return. We booked a lovely table by the window (there is a surcharge for this but I’d say it is well worth paying for). We upgraded our lunch to the bottomless prosecco & cocktail package for just £25. The drinks were topped up regularly and we never once had to ask. Our waitress took time to explain the menu and the concept to me, she was very polite and made us feel welcome. I loved that the starters were pre selected, we were presented with dishes that we wouldn’t have typically ordered but we loved every one of them! It was nice to try new dishes and we were able to order extra of what ever we liked. Like I said, I will be back for more soon!

I had a reservation at Oblix West for a family dinner. Although the check‑in welcome was warm, After greeting us, the staff did not guide us properly. A waiter directed us toward the East side and asked us to wait at the entrance without explaining anything about our table allocation. They didn’t even seem aware that we were seated in the East side instead of the West. After about ten minutes, a staff member approached us and asked whether we had a reservation. I was confused and asked if it was even possible to enter the restaurant without one. She then apologised and asked for the name under which the booking was made. This felt like a very poor way to treat guests. We were eventually given a table in a very disappointing location with no view at all. I had expected a nice view of London, but there was zero visibility from our table and on top of that the noise is like fish market, it never make me feel I am in good ambience restaurant at all in those 2 hour stay. Overall, it was a very underwhelming and disappointing experience for a family. The street side restaurant is much better than this. I would definitely not recommend this.

We went to the restaurant today and were being given a table in the booth, and many tables were empty in the window seat which was the premium table. When we asked to be seated there she initially said these tables are for three people, even when they had four chairs. Then she said all these tables with champagne glasses is reserved. I saw a table without the glasses and asked about that table she said oh it’s booked for 7. My mom went and asked politely if there were any cancellations or anything like that and if they can seat us there, she just refused. We sat on the booth table, while seating us she also said how the tables were booked for 6,8,10, but she earlier said the unreserved table was booked at 7. Along with all these excuses. It felt we were cornered for whatever reason. At 7:30pm the table I asked about was still empty. And we were seated at 6:40. We asked for a manager and the manager came over after making some excuses about how reservations move around. She addressed me and said “you’re wearing a hoodie so we won’t seat you at the first two rows and that why they probably didn’t seat you there” which was accusatory. I also mentioned how this was something to be told at the gate and not after when we are addressing the issue of not being seated at a better table. She herself was guessing what happened. I said you’re a manager and are responsible for this she went on to said she’s not responsible for them. I asked her to leave our table and we were done talking to her. This whole experience was horrible and is really low on the hospitality scale. From having travelled across the world, to address the customers clothes while they are seated and pointing out an earlier issue is absolutely disgusting. Even if the hoodie was a reason this should have been given before instead of giving it as an excuse later on. We called for our check and another manager came in, who apparently apologized and asked to put us in a better table. I had left while my parents were talking to this manager. As one of the premium restaurants in London this was really horrible hospitality and service. I understand that other people might have better experiences, but for me this speaks to the bigger issue of the city being racist, unnecessarily gate keeping places and experiences for their premium experience. Something to think about, having good food does not compensate for treating someone with soo much disrespect. Finding other reviews about bad service experiences really validated that it’s not just me who has had this sort of experience and is a pattern.

I have eaten in many excellent restaurants over the years, but I have to say this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have had in a venue that presents itself as a luxury restaurant. The tables were heavily scratched and looked old and worn. The overall venue felt tired and far from the premium experience that is advertised. The food was nothing special and certainly did not justify the prices being charged. The fries tasted as though they had been soaked in oil and had a very strong greasy aftertaste. To be honest, I have had better food in far less expensive places. What made the experience even worse was being served an expensive cocktail with a fly in it. We immediately brought this to the attention of staff and requested a replacement. The cocktail was replaced, but one of the waiters laughed about the situation, which I found extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. To make matters worse, despite being served a contaminated drink, we were still charged the full price for the cocktail. I find it completely unacceptable that customers are expected to pay full price for a drink that originally arrived with a fly in it. We received only a brief apology and no genuine attempt was made to resolve the issue or offer any gesture of goodwill. When customers are paying premium prices, they expect premium standards. Unfortunately, the quality of the food, the condition of the restaurant, and the way this situation was handled fell far below those expectations. If you are considering dining here, I would honestly save your time and money. There are many far better restaurants in London offering higher quality food, better service, and far better value. In my opinion, this experience was simply not worth the time or the money.

30/05/2026 booking at 20:30. Kitchen staff super friendly and well organized. Can’t say the same for the hospitality staff. Been left for one hour without food on the table and our glasses filled up with champagne quite regularly. Very unpleasant to see a table window view next to us empty for more than one hour and in the meantime we asked more than twice to move there to the waiters and always said “no possible”. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here and the hospitality staff ( Silvio , Maison ) treated us in a non courteous manner. Clearly understaffed because in a rush everywhere. I lost my temper and I opened a complaint to the reception and immediately the manager sorted the best for us. Table next to window and food up to the table in minutes. I ordered another bottle of champagne and from that point I’ve started to fill up my glasses because our bucket was away from our table and our sommelier ( Maison ) has disappeared. At the end extra cost for window view hasn’t been added to the bill and by themselves service charge removed from the bill as well. By experiences I know how hard is to work in the hospitality and I spread £60 of tips between waiters, kitchen and reception. We spent +£500 in two but unfortunately we won’t come back because the service was extremely bad organized.
