Our server Sai Rohith was friendly and professional. This was my second time visiting Oblix and it never disappoints me. My sister was visiting all the way from India to celebrate rakhshabandhan and Oblix staff made it memorable for us. The cake I preordered was perfect and delicious. Would definitely come back again spend some time with friends and family. Thank you once again for such a wonderful experience
Great lunch at Oblix West
Not been back at the Shard for some time but celebrated a birthday lunch here with their very good value set lunch. £29 for 2 courses and £39 for 3.
The portions are massive. Mains come with a choice of side which are also good portions and you can include dessert from the à la carte if you eat the first 2 courses from the set lunch.
Buttermilk chicken was crispy and tasty. Pork chop was succulent with crispy crackling. Cheeseburger was cooked perfectly pink. Pasta with nudja was spicy and the cheese accompaniment delicious.
Crème brûlée and cheese cake good but the à la carte chocolate cake was outstanding in taste and presentation.
Shout outs to Ashanti on Reception who helped me with my booking, Cihan with his never ending smile and helpful input on ordering. Gustavo the sommelier is ever so helpful and knowledgeable; just put yourself in his hands.
Thank you to all the other staff on Reception and in the restaurant particularly the hard working chefs.
I was surprised by how busy it was on a Monday but a reflection of the quality of the food and the service. Did I mention the view!

A Truly Exceptional Experience Thanks to David at Oblix
We visited Oblix at The Shard on Saturday 22nd August for a family meal while spending a weekend in London. This was a very special trip for us, as our son has been through an incredibly difficult few months, including nine brain surgeries, in the last four months. He has been extremely unwell and has shown incredible strength throughout it all.
For us, this evening was about something very simple but incredibly precious being able to relax together as a family and enjoy some quality time in a beautiful setting after what has been an extremely worrying and stressful period.
I would especially like to give the highest praise to David who mentioned has worked there that long. From the moment he looked after us, his service was exceptional. He was polite, professional, attentive and genuinely caring. He took our drinks order promptly and made sure everything was brought to us in good time. Most importantly, he went above and beyond for our son.
Our son loves looking at views and is fascinated by the night-time lights. His only real request that evening was to be able to sit by the window for dessert so that he could enjoy the incredible view from The Shard. David understood how important this small request was to him and, despite the difficulties around changing tables, he made it happen. He arranged for our son to sit by the window for the final 30 minutes of our visit.
To some people, that might seem like a very small gesture, but to our family it meant so much. After everything our son has been through, seeing him sitting by that window, happily looking out at the lights and enjoying the view, was a moment we will genuinely remember.
Unfortunately, our initial experience with our waitress was quite disappointing. She initially refused to move us closer to the window, then moved the table next to us and spoke across to us saying “because there were only two of them”. She also appeared to try to prevent David from helping us move to a window seat. Our son’s apple juice was not brought out at the beginning either, and we found that it took quite a long time to get responses while ordering our food.
However, David completely changed our experience. He treated us with respect, listened to us, and made what was a very simple request feel completely manageable. He never made us feel like we were asking for too much. Instead, he showed understanding and kindness.
David, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You may not realise just how much that small act of kindness meant to our family, but you made our son incredibly happy, and after the year we have had, that is something we will never take for granted.
Small gestures can make the biggest difference. David is a credit to Oblix and deserves the highest recognition for his outstanding service, professionalism and genuine kindness.
Thank you, David, for helping to make our family evening so special. ❤️
Regarding the food, the filet steak was perfect! We all enjoyed our food very much!

We were married in London and received a £300 Oblix gift voucher as a wedding gift. Because we live abroad, we weren’t able to get back before the 12-month expiry. Ahead of our anniversary, we asked Oblix to honour it as a dining credit toward a dinner where we would obviously spend well over £300. We weren’t asking for a refund. We were asking to give them more money.
They refused twice. The Administration & Operations Manager cited policy, pointed out that the terms were shown to the purchaser (not us, the recipients), and said the General Manager had been copied “for visibility.” The GM never replied.
Oblix has kept £300 in exchange for nothing. A restaurant at this price point had a chance to turn a minor policy exception into two loyal guests and an anniversary story. It chose the £300 instead. The view is lovely. The hospitality, when it actually costs them anything, is not.

Went for an anniversary meal here, and the views are spectacular, as was the service. However, the food was largely disappointing. Of the set sharing menu, only the chicken wing starter was worth talking about, everything else was quite bland. However, most concerning was the steak main, the only dish not for sharing. The meat was tough and grey, and felt like it was leftover from a previous service. Unfortunately, I developed what I suspect to be food poisoning for 48 hours after. Reporting the incident was taken seriously but took a while and a number of emails to resolve.
Despite lovely staff and location, this is very much not worth the 250£ price tag, even without food poisoning.
Edit: An automated response from the restaurant as I have already reached out prior to this, further disappointment
