  I know macarons aren't for everyone, but Ladurée is undoubtedly the global gold standard for them. They offer an incredible variety of flavors and the quality is consistently superb. Every time I have the chance, I treat myself to a box; I usually go for the 8-piece selection to enjoy a nice variety of their seasonal and classic offerings. My absolute favorite is the "Marie Antoinette" created in honor of the French Queen, it is delicate, floral, and truly delicious! The service is always professional and refined, matching the elegant aesthetic of the tea room. It is a must-visit in London if you want to experience a classic French patisserie. Whether you sit in for tea or just grab a box to go, it is a beautiful and high-quality indulgence.

  I’ve had Ladurée macarons many times, in different countries, and I usually love them. But the ones at the Royal Exchange were honestly the worst I’ve ever had. They weren’t fresh — they were actually rubbery and unpleasantly chewy. The texture was completely off. To be completely honest, the ones you can buy in regular shops taste better. Really disappointing experience.
