  I’ve purchased macarons from Ladurée many times, and the macarons are always delicious. However, I was quite disappointed with my most recent experience at this Selfridges store. This was the first time I bought six macarons, and the staff automatically packed them in a box without asking me first. The box had no price displayed, and at no point did the staff mention that there would be an additional charge for it. Even when I was paying, they did not tell me the total amount clearly. It was only after I completed the payment that I realised the box alone cost an extra £7 — which was even more expensive than two macarons. As the macarons were just for my own personal consumption, I didn’t actually need the box. It felt very frustrating to be charged for something unnecessarily without being informed in advance.

  Amazing experience! The place is lovely, everything we've had was delicious. We've been served by the manager Iago, who couldn't have been nicer and friendlier. He made a selection of these new Eugenies for us and all the flavours he chose were amazing. I wish all places had people like him working there. When I go back to London I'll be back for sure. Thank you!

  Service was lacking, macarons were delicious. Try the Marie Antoinette one. So unique.
