Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

- AEAyaz EastAug 4, 20261.0Had to wait 3 minutes before knocking on the wall to get someone’s attention, how am I suppose to communicate and order when staff behind the counter can barely speak a word of English. Staff do not even know what red sauce is and asked me to confirm ketchup is red sauce 🤦🏻♂️ staff has no training and no customer service.
- SSsnakesJul 3, 20261.0Why are Greggs in service stations overpriced? Half the time the sausage rolls are served cold or undercooked. On hearing the price of my meal deal I returned it back to the fridge. What a joke! The baguettes also in this petrol station Greggs seemed to have much less fillings than you see elsewhere too. No wonder Greggs are losing favour and not the nations favourite 😢

The customer service was also disappointing. The guy serving wasn’t very helpful, and the girl seemed confused and didn’t understand what we were asking. Made me feels so uncomfortable..

The customer service was extremely poor – staff seemed uninterested in helping customers and couldn’t answer basic questions about the food they sell. I also asked about the Too Good To Go bags, and nobody seemed to know how they worked or what was included, which was frustrating. To make matters worse, they start shutting everything down well before the advertised closing time. Several items were already unavailable, and it felt like customers were being rushed out instead of being served.

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
