This is now the second time I’ve received terrible service at this Greggs, and unfortunately it seems to be a recurring issue. The staff were rude and dismissive from the beginning, even over something as simple as asking for the food I was paying for to be heated. My request was ignored and the food wasn’t heated at all. On top of that, one of the items I had paid for was missing. When I pointed this out, instead of apologising or simply resolving the mistake politely, I was met with a “whatever” attitude and the missing item was handed to me very reluctantly. Mistakes happen, and I completely understand that, but there is no excuse for making customers feel like an inconvenience simply for asking to receive what they have paid for. Being spoken to and treated this way is unacceptable, especially when this is the second bad experience I’ve had at this location. The customer service here seriously needs improvement.

The guys moved at glacial pace and there were only two taking orders and making them. You have to put more staff on like it’s literally rush hour at a huge station Worst of all, I got to the front and then have to leave for my train before I could get served

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
