Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

02/06/26, I ordered a latte and decided to sit outside. The table and chairs were drenched in water from previous rain. I reported it to the staff behind the till, he gave me a piece of blue paper to dry the table and chairs myself . I thought that was such a 3rd world country service. I asked the staff if they at least had a piece of cloth instead of paper which would dry the table and chairs better, he quickly mumbled :NO. In my utter shock I walked away, dried the table and chairs myself with the blue paper he gave me and had my coffee I paid for . Totally unacceptable behaviour, unprofessional and uncivilised. I will spread the word on my social media too.

I came in on 7/5/26 at around 9:30am and the shop was extremely busy, yet there was only one person on tills. The young lady who served me was very nice and polite despite how rushed it was, so credit to her.
I come here quite regularly and there always seem to be massive queues, usually with 10+ people waiting and only one person serving on tills. Some of the staff can also come across quite rude and unwelcoming at times.
This shop is clearly very busy, especially during lunch hours, so there really should be more staff on tills to help with the queues and overall customer experience.

Appalled with the service, specifically a staff member-I assume South Asian woman, I didnât catch her name but was working at around 1pm on Tuesday 27th Jan.
Immediately a hostile environment with the noise pollution created by her, screaming next customer which created more disruption than beneficial. As I approached closer her tone got increasingly louder and aggressive. Misunderstanding with what I had named the pizza, I termed it as a âvegan pizzaâ, rather than a âvegetable pizzaâ, in which she told me to fix my language and doubted whether I knew what item I was talking about. Patronised me and made me feel incapable, waited to talk to me till I had âconfirmed what item I hadâ. Rude and aggressive, honestly made it a very overstimulating environment by her deafening voice. Felt uncomfortable and targeted.
Please do not work in such conditions if you cannot handle it, would like a reply and confirmation from management that something has done.

What happens to your leftover food?
Weâve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though weâve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling ÂŁ450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
Weâre no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
