Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

This shop is great. Changed in last year. Excellent service and shop management have to deal with extremely rude and abusive customers and homeless. Witnessed the shop manager being very professional dealing with a very abusive customer the other week just because of wi fi issues. I take my hat off to him

I use this place a few times a week and the staff are lovely. I was in there yesterday Thursday afternoon. And witnessed the staff getting abuse. It was a very hot day. A customer was abusing staff, a guy named Paul for no reason. He dealt with it calmly and I did wonder how on earth these workers can keep calm with such rude obnoxious customers who demand and r hurling abuse at them. All the staff are very welcoming and nice at this store.

This manager Paul needs to be dismissed. I visited this Greggs on the way to the station to get lunch. Paul was standing around, micromanaging, being very dismissive and rude to the worker. Poor worker was clearly embarrassed.
Is he so sad and lonely in this own life he has to make everyone else as negative as him?
I wasn't going to make any reviews but after reading other customers feel the same as me i had to make a note. I have done a formal complaint to head office. If you are reading this after witnessing poor behavior from this man please also contact Greggs.
I have a teenagers myself, we need to look out of the young people of today.

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
