We’re best known for our iconic bakes, fresh sandwiches, delicious hot drinks and sweet treats. Over eighty years ago, John Gregg started out with one goal: to deliver (by pushbike) fresh eggs and yeast to the families of Newcastle. Ten years later, he chained up his bike and opened Greggs of Gosforth.
Since then, we’ve opened more and more shops and have become something of a Nation’s sweetheart. Our menu has also changed with the nation’s taste. Long-standing Greggs fans among us may even remember the olden days before the hotly debated Vegan Roll, or our refreshing iced drinks.

With lovely variety of sandwiches. They also had lots of nice cakes and desserts to offer. There was a queue to pay but it went down quickly as the staff there are fast and reliable. There isn't any seating in the actual chain but outside there are plenty of walls of benches to sit on and have your lunch/dinner. It is right next to the shard and is positioned in Central London. If you exit the tube it isn't in the mall inside the station but as soon as you leave it becomes visible. Overall I enjoyed my lunch and would recommend popping in to have a nice greggs if you are on your way somewhere near.

I had first come at around 4:30pm to collect my click and collect order that i made just after 4pm, and then i came again later that evening at around 10pm, having pre ordered at around 8:30pm again (i often do order a while in advance and usually the staff there are fine about this). A lady by the name of Chandra i believe who claimed to be the shift manager refused to give me my order and claimed i had already collected it and said it was showing as collected (their problem not mine!!!) she argued with me for around 10 minutes despite me having the order numbers of both orders from that day and made me feel extremely embarresed, created a scene and made me feel like a shoplifter. I was honestly disgusted by her behaviour and those who did not check as usually as mentioned the staff here are very nice. I would like an apology. I have attached both orders from the app from that day on here. I even demanded she wind through the cctv to prove i had collected it late that evening (with my order numbers, as i had mentioned i had collected a drink and donut at around 4pm and then ordered again the evening at around 8:30pm and come to collect that one at 22:00pm) but she refused and continued to treat me like someone trying to steal Greggs when i come there literally every day without issue. As mentioned i was very displeased by how i was treated

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
