Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

- SAShivansh AmbawatOct 8, 20261.0Very Rude Staff! Really bad experience at this Greggs. The lady serving us was extremely rude and aggressive. She literally threw the veggie bake on the counter instead of handing it to us properly. When we politely asked her for a fresh one, she started giving us attitude and was very rude. We were just there to buy some food, not to be treated like this. There was absolutely no reason for her to behave that way. It's honestly shocking how some staff treat customers. Really disappointed with the service. If I could give 0 stars, I definitely would. Never expected this kind of behaviour from Greggs. When we ask for the ketchup she was like they don't do ketchup at greggs but gernally greggs have everything. The lady was 35-40 year old black lady with his college white guy.

The experience was extremely disappointing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves staff training.

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
