The chips are very nice, the milkshakes are also delicious and refreshing, but the price for what I got was absolutely ridiculous, for a burger chips and a drink almost £12-£16.
Me and my colleagues have visited this branch of Five Guys multiple times over time when in the Canary Wharf area, and for the first time recently I didn’t have the best experience with a meal. I addressed it yesterday as I was in the area, and the manager on duty told me over the phone that he could resolve it if I came in, so I thought that I’d visit as I was passing by, to be told by him that he couldn’t in fact resolve it and I’d have to go to customer service - he should never have given false hope and caused unnecessary discomfort to me as a result. I decided not to dispute it, and proceeded to the till to order food, to which I was greeted by the other manager on duty, Nicoleta, who must have been made aware of my feedback because as I was about to order and pay, she kindly offered to replace my meal, which was the best and most convenient way to come to a resolution, for which I was very much grateful. The replacement meal was as perfect as it usually always is, which has restored my positive perspective of Five Guys, and because of Nicoleta’s great service and approach to the matter, me and my colleagues will ensure to continue our custom moving forward.
What happened to Five guys?! It used to be so good before, I went once in the last few weeks and it wasn’t what it used to be, so thought let’s give it another try and got really disappointed, so thought I should write a review. Fries used to be the best, tasty and crispy but now soggy and no taste plus they give you so much for a small portion and it costs £4.79, shocking! Burger itself was tasty and I have to say the add ons like salad etc were nice and fresh. But the bun cold and sticky inside. Waiting time is long too. Please improve as people will stop coming and will be going to Burger king instead.

This Five Guys is located inside Jubilee Place, one of the largest and most impressive shopping centres in Canary Wharf. The location is excellent, surrounded by modern architecture and a beautiful atmosphere, especially in the evening.
The restaurant itself is very spacious, clean, and well maintained, with plenty of seating available. Ordering is convenient, with both self-service kiosks and the possibility to order directly at the counter. The staff are friendly, patient, and helpful, they take your order without rushing you and provide clear information about the different toppings and combinations through guides.
The service is extremely fast. After ordering, my food was ready within just a few minutes. The burger was excellent, the fries were incredibly tasty and generous, with many extra fries served inside the bag, as expected from this chain.
The milkshake is luscious. The possibility of creating your own combination, especially with peanut butter and other flavours, makes it unique. The portion is large and the result is amazing. One unusual but excellent combination is adding bacon pieces to the milkshake, strange, but the sweet and salty contrast works incredibly well.
For the burger, I highly recommend the Bacon Cheeseburger. It is not the biggest burger in terms of size, but it is packed with ingredients. My recommended toppings are grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, pickles, and HP Sauce.
The cheese portion is generous, and the two beef patties are very tasty and rich. I would avoid adding tomatoes because of the heat of the burger and the aluminium wrapping, they become almost cooked.
The regular friesare double fried, flavourful, and extremely generous, definitely one of the best parts of the meal. I also recommend putting some fries inside the burger to create the ultimate bite.
The biggest problem is definitely the price. The food quality is excellent, but paying around £27 for a menu feels excessive, especially considering that the milkshake replaces the normal drink rather than being an additional item. I am not sure if these prices are standard across Five Guys or influenced by the Canary Wharf location and high rents, but they feel difficult to justify.
I would recommend visiting in the evening, especially later at night, as the opening hours are convenient for late dinners and the atmosphere of Jubilee Place is beautiful after dark.
