- DHDiana HMay 8, 20261.0Really shocked to see a facial recognition surveillance camera in the store when I came in last week! (It looks like a big webcam at the entrance of the store). I emailed them about this as a member, I don't want to shop here until they remove it. The facial recognition camera companies that have these databases with all of our personal images on are unethical and facial recognition software has shown to be inaccurate and racist. For an ethical company like Coop which is member-owned, this is really shocking! Remove this camera!!!! Edit: They seem to have now removed the camera! Good.

There's always only ever one person on the tills which results in long wait times, especially when you need to collect an Amazon order and it takes a while for the person on tills to have to look for your parcel. Additionally, all of the self checkouts are card only, so those paying cash are obligated to queue up at the cash register. Furthermore, the staff aren't very friendly or welcoming - except for one African lady who is ALWAYS friendly and in good spirits. Everyone seems depressed and or disinterested in their customers. This unfortunately is becoming the norm across many supermarkets.
