  Customer Service Review – Co-op, Minories Road (EC3), London I would like to submit a formal review and special commendation for a member of your team at the Co-op store on Minories Road, EC3, London. On Thursday 12 February 2026, at approximately 11:10 a.m., I visited the store looking specifically for pre-cut, peeled and washed carrots in a bag. When I asked a member of staff for assistance, I was helped by Kainat. Kainat informed me that the store did not currently have the pre-prepared carrots I was looking for, but kindly let me know that whole carrots were available in another refrigerated area of the store. I explained that, unfortunately, this would not really work for me, as I did not have the facilities to clean or prepare them and needed something that could be used immediately. What happened next genuinely surprised and touched me. Because the store was quiet at the time, Kainat kindly offered to wash and prepare the carrots for me herself. While I waited at the front of the store, she went and cleaned them so that I could still leave with what I needed. This was not something I expected at all, and it was a truly thoughtful and generous gesture. Her manner throughout was extremely friendly, warm and considerate, and she showed a level of initiative and care that went far beyond what would normally be expected in a retail environment. When I later learned that her name is Kainat, I couldn’t help but notice how closely it sounds like the word “kind” when spoken. That kindness is not only in her name, but very clearly in her nature and in the way she treats customers. I believe Kainat is absolutely deserving of special recognition. She represents your company in an exceptionally positive light, and her actions reflect very well on the values of the Co-op. I sincerely hope that the store’s management is able to acknowledge her for going above and beyond for customers. Experiences like this are what genuinely make people want to return to a store, and I can confidently say that I would happily return to this branch specifically because of the outstanding service I received from Kainat.

  Racial profiling. I came in wearing a suit, paid for my items and as I was leaving, there was a security guard in front of the doors blocking my way as if I stole something

  We loved this place! We grabbed egg and bacon sandwiches and great chocolate chip cookie bars from here at a fraction of the price most places in London charge. We also grabbed large bottles of water for .90 each. We needed afrin and cough drops, and they had those too. So handy! It's like 3 minutes from the Tower of London and there's a cute park around the corner where you can eat. Bring something to put your purchase in (London charges for a bag). The self check out makes it super quick, but we couldn't pay in cash.
