A friend of co-op and their wonderful customer service. Been going to this coop since 2016 ish. Now I’ve had some issues and each time I have expressed this to customer service, they have resolved swiftly.
Secondly, there has been a round of new staff members who have gelled well with the community.
There was a hiccup conversation today with a staff member named Jithim but I want to say, he is ALWAYS professional and this society have people who are sad hearing no.
Every staff who works in this coop is retainable

Today the person called Jithin at Mill St Co-Op couldn’t be more heinous if he tried. Shouting at the older lady employee in front of customers making her flustered, bellowing at customers in general. When it came to using the Pay Point gas and electric top up, my payment went through but they said it hadn’t. Despite showing them the proof on my phone. He just shouted and shouted.
It is ALWAYS that person making the shop feel awful. The other staff members are fine and the whole vibe is tolerable when he isn’t there. Why are you even employing someone like that?

This Co-op is awful, the staff are always on their phone/headset taking personal calls and provide zero customer service skills, some of the staff members also had poor hygiene and smelled bad. On my last and final visit the member of staff just scanned my items, he didn't even ask if I was a Co-op member or if I wanted a receipt, and I was also stalked by the security guard during my visit too. I see no point of this store at all it's very dismal, if you need to go to Co-op I recommend going to the one on Spa Rd instead, the selection is better and as an added bonus they have 2 self service tills so you don't have wait on someone's crappy customer service.
Update 24/04/26 :
They have actually listened to feedback and implemented self service tills at this branch. Still gets one star due to creepy security guard stalking me.
