  Did a Deliveroo order came really fast!! Only took about 10-15 mins they pack it quick, everything was fresh and in date, well packed, no substitutions great stock, good price with the offers they have on at the moment especially toiletries.

  Came in to get some ice cream and tried the self-checkout, but it kept saying “Wait for assistance” while no one actually came to assist us. So we went to the counter instead. The cashier, Poormini (if I remember correctly), wearing a red blouse with white polka dots, wasn’t exactly rude, but her attitude and facial expression were extremely unfriendly and grumpy. We didn’t even complain about the self-checkout situation, yet somehow we were treated like we had caused a problem. Not sure if that’s what they consider “customer service,” but definitely not a pleasant experience.

  I am writing this review because my experience at this Co-op store as a delivery rider was extremely disappointing. I have been waiting for around 30 minutes just to collect an order, which is completely unacceptable. As delivery riders, we are expected to deliver orders on time, and long delays like this affect our earnings, customer satisfaction, and performance ratings. We have no control over these delays, yet we are the ones who face complaints from customers. The biggest issue was not only the waiting time but also the attitude of the staff. They were slow, disorganized, and showed very little urgency in preparing or handing over delivery orders. Even worse, some staff members were rude and did not communicate respectfully. A simple greeting, an update on the order, or a polite explanation would have made a big difference, but instead, they acted as if delivery riders were an inconvenience. Co-op should understand that delivery riders are part of the service provided to customers. We represent the final step in getting orders to people’s homes, and we deserve to be treated with basic respect. Keeping riders waiting for half an hour without any clear communication is unprofessional and reflects poorly on the store. I strongly recommend that Co-op invests in better staff training, improves the organization of delivery orders, and hires employees who understand the importance of customer service and professional communication. Staff should be able to handle delivery collections efficiently and treat everyone—customers and riders alike—with courtesy and respect. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because this experience was frustrating, time-consuming, and unnecessary. Until there are significant improvements in both staff behavior and order handling, I cannot recommend this store to other delivery riders.
