Really frustrating store to shop in, it seems like the focus is on restocking from around 7pm to closing time, so fridges have their doors wide open while this is being completed (so enjoy warm products) and the shop is completely blocked in certain areas with various restock cages.
It's also really annoying with the constant takeaway orders, the PDAs blasting an irritating sound and the staff are occupied and cannot assist in store customers.

If you are delivery driver and you buy something from here don’t expect same treatment as of any other customer.

MY local, but I have to say that I think their HO is putting the staff under increasing pressure as they are so busy trying to serve the Deliveroo and uber drivers that in store customers are often left unattended and when asked to please assist they are clearly stressed and anxious. I have never seen more than one cashier and often the self service kiosks are left with discarded purchase as the cashier is torn between what to prioritise . I don't see the staff as responsible as they are trying to manage an unsustainable workload. This is clearly a HO cost cutting initiative without actually looking at the real time impact it is having on the customer experience and sales. Disappointing for a brand that positions themselves as for the people "Our roots trace all the way back to 1844, when a group of pioneers started something different: a co-operative store owned by the community, which helped them buy affordable, quality food during a time of poverty. From a local shop in Rochdale, to the UK’s largest consumer co-operative today – we continue to be here to meet the needs of our millions of member owners."
