  I would have rated them lower. The flies on the banana and the wet floor are significant concerns. The lack of staff is also a major issue.

  This Co-op is, unfortunately, one of the most disappointing convenience stores I’ve visited. It rarely has the basics in stock, particularly in the mornings when people are trying to grab lunch. More often than not, the shelves are half empty, leaving very little choice. The biggest issue, however, is the amount of expired food on the shelves. It’s far too common to find products that are already past their use-by date, while many of the remaining items expire the same day. This is something the store should be managing much better. Expired products should be removed before the store opens, and anything due to expire that day should be checked and cleared promptly. Customers shouldn’t have to inspect every item to make sure it’s safe to buy. The store itself also feels dark and uninviting, which only adds to the poor shopping experience. While the ongoing stock shortages seem more likely to be the result of delivery or management issues than the fault of the staff, keeping expired products on the shelves is something the store team should be addressing consistently. It’s a real shame because this is the closest place for many people to grab lunch, yet I often choose to go elsewhere because of the lack of stock, the expired food, and the overall atmosphere. This store has the potential to be much better, and I hope Co-op takes these issues seriously and makes the necessary improvements.

  I read that it's the store most shoplifted from in Charlton, whether that means you are more or less likely to get caught I don't know.
