  It's a chicken shop, why it's the highest rated restaurant in angel is a joke. Good chicken though

  Came here after the arsenal parade to get a light bite. Never been before but was simple to order and reasonably priced. Food was quickly made, hot and very tasty.

  I had a very disappointing experience at a chicken shop in Islington today while visiting with my 7-year-old son. We originally paid for 6 chicken wings, but by mistake the wrong hot sauce was added and the wings were far too spicy for my child to eat. I politely went back to the counter and asked if it was possible to change them. One staff member initially told me they could not change the order, but then said he would give us 4 replacement wings for free “this time.” I even offered to return the original wings, but he told me not to worry and said we could keep them. After waiting around 10 minutes, the same staff member suddenly changed what he previously said and told me I would now need to pay £2 for the replacement wings. To avoid further issues in front of my child, I agreed and paid the £2. What made the situation worse was that when I went to pay, the staff member deliberately hid the replacement wings until after the payment was made. Once I paid, he then brought out only 3 wings instead of the 4 he originally promised. This felt extremely dishonest and intentional. I explained calmly that I was unhappy with how the situation had been handled, especially considering I was there with my young son, but the staff member became aggressive, abrupt, and very rude. I asked for the staff member’s name and he initially refused to provide it. Eventually he gave the name “Vijay.” Another colleague’s name was given as “Aakash.” The entire experience was unprofessional, misleading, and upsetting. Good customer service costs nothing, especially when dealing with a parent and child over a simple mistake. I will not be returning.

  I was lucky enough to have spotted the Chicken Shop guys out in Soho giving away free testers of your chicken tenders and they were absolutely beautiful so I thought I would take my daughter along to our local chicken shop in Islington so she could try..... So disappointed, not the experience I was hoping for 🙈 Firstly the atmosphere in there was so dull but we thought we would still give it the benefit of doubt, so I had the new honey chicken burger meal and my daughter had the chicken Tenders....there wasn't anything tender about them, dry isn't even the word I would give for them, they were terrible, the chips also were so over fried, just one big crunch and no filling. My burger did taste ok but was so flat and thin chicken, I don't know why you show photos of the best thick chicken burgers on the advert then serve something you have to open the bun just to see the actual chicken....false advertising at its best. The staff looked like they didn't want to be there either, one sat on his laptop... probably looking for a new job. Then after all that the over £35 charge for this waste of money is way over the top. I'm guessing by the amount of people in the store last night says it all and I don't think you will be in Islington long. Maybe get more staff like the two guys promoting the chicken shop down Soho because they were fun and fatten up your chickens so you get more for what you charge us. Sorry to say we won't be back
