  Popped in briefly to do the open mic as down in London for work. Lively gaff - pint of John smiths was £3.90. Open mic night on a weds was very welcoming and supportive, some good turns on. Might come back if the stars align and I’m back down on a weds. Just gonna point out again that the John smiths (ok it’s just a standard pint but) was £3.90. £3.90! Bargain for where I was

  I used to come here when it was under the SMOK'D brand. The pub had so much character, an amazing whiskey selection, amazing cocktails, great decor, a stunning menu and a really fun team. It has obviously been sold and the new owners have put their vision to it. It feels lifeless, boring and almost like a slightly more premium Wetherspoons. A shame to lose such a unique pub for this lackluster replacement. Also a bit of a shame they use so much A.I. for their event posters. Their drink selection is okay, and they have a very reasonably priced happy hour.

  My dad is in the care home next door. This place is my escape after terrible visits. I need a drink visits. The price of a pint very reasonable here. The atmosphere is friendly.
