  Very disappointed with my experience at this Tesco today (2 July 2026 at around 5:30 pm). I shop at this store every other day, and many of the staff recognise me, so I was shocked by how I was treated. After finishing a 24-hour shift, I was buying my groceries, including two cans of Red Bull that were on offer. My 19-year-old brother was simply helping me pack my shopping. A colleague refused the sale because he didn’t have ID. I explained that I am 23 years old, that the drinks were for me, and I had my driving licence in my hand ready to show. I was also wearing my work uniform with my work ID clearly visible. Despite this, the colleague didn’t even look at my ID and repeatedly commented that we both looked under 16. To avoid any misunderstanding, I asked my brother to leave and returned to purchase the drinks on my own. I then overheard the colleague telling another member of staff not to serve me, so I asked to speak to the duty manager. The manager explained there were concerns about a possible proxy purchase. I explained the drinks were for me, that I had just finished a 24-hour shift and only wanted two because they were on offer. The manager eventually authorised the sale, but the colleague then questioned the manager in front of me by saying, “Are you sure?” even after the decision had been made. I completely understand the need to enforce Challenge 25 and Tesco’s policies. My complaint is not about being asked for ID—I’d already offered it. My issue is with the way I was treated. The colleague’s attitude was dismissive, undermining and disrespectful, and I left feeling embarrassed despite doing everything I could to cooperate. Most of the staff at this store are friendly and professional, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I hope Tesco addresses this and reminds colleagues that policies can be enforced without making customers feel belittled.

  The cafe is worse then a zero star rated toilet in the bush.

  Big variety of food in this store. Lots of parking availability. Always check times properly as online wasnt correct when we checked.
