Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Feedback Regarding Greggs Heston Branch
I would like to share some feedback about the Greggs store in Heston.
The staff at this branch are very good, friendly and helpful. However, there are a few issues that affect the overall customer experience.
The store frequently seems to run short of essential items, such as pizza boxes. This means pizzas are sometimes served in paper bags instead of the proper boxes. When you take the pizza away and eat it later, the cheese sticks to the paper, leaving very little topping on the pizza. This is disappointing and does not provide the quality of service customers should expect.
Another concern is the availability of new or limited-time products. Some items are introduced in the Heston store but disappear after a short period, with no option to reorder them, even though they are still available at other Greggs stores on the high street. It is frustrating when customers find something they enjoy, only to discover that their local branch no longer stocks it.
The Heston branch is also in an area with a nearby school, so it can get particularly busy. It is therefore important that the store is properly stocked and has the necessary packaging and equipment to serve customers efficiently, especially during busy periods.
I hope Greggs will look into improving stock availability, ensuring the correct packaging and serving equipment are consistently provided, and making popular products available more reliably across its stores.
The staff are doing a good job, and with better support and stock management, the Heston branch could offer a much better customer experience.
Thank you for taking this feedback into consideration.

Greggs offers delicious pastries and sandwiches, but it would be even better if they expanded their menu with more variety. Still, a go-to spot for a quick and tasty snack.
Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.
What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
