Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

- YSYana ShresthaOct 6, 20261.0Today morning, I visited this branch with my friend for morning breakfast but the person (a lady abit chubby) who served us ,her behavior was quite odd toward us as if she was discriminating us .Also the food was cold and not good at all.This was my and mine friends worst experience so i am not going at all so i recommend not to go to this branch at all.

They are always friendly, efficient, and welcoming. I specifically wanted to share my appreciation for a staff member named Samira. During my most recent visit, I witnessed her handle an extremely challenging situation when a group of individuals attempted to steal food and drinks from the shop. I was incredibly impressed by how Samira dealt with the incident. Even under such difficult circumstances, she remained completely professional, polite, and calm. It was very clear that she genuinely cares about her colleagues, the customers, and the business itself. She managed the situation with poise and integrity, and she is a true asset to your team. Samira deserves formal recognition for her conduct. It is rare to see someone handle such a stressful moment with that level of grace. We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
