Staff refused my order saying they had 11 others to finish, even though I was well before closing time. I pointed this out politely — he stayed rude and dismissive. Another staff later said no breakfast items left, but the initial refusal was about orders, not stock, and the attitude was very poor.

There are new staff members (a girl and a boy) who seem inexperienced and inefficient. Tasks that should take just a few minutes are often delayed unnecessarily — for example, a 2-minute job is stretched to 15–20 minutes, and even simple orders are quoted as taking 30 minutes. This causes serious issues, especially during busy morning hours when timing is important for deliveries. Staff often appear to be standing around rather than working efficiently, which leads to long waiting times and frustration. Previously, there were three older female staff members who were excellent — they were quick, professional, and had orders ready within minutes. The difference in service now is very noticeable. I hope management can address this issue and improve staff efficiency, as the current situation is affecting delivery work significantly.

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
