Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Greggs really is the pinnacle of British cuisine. The sausage roll is literally synonymous with England.
The service was fine.
The ambience of the location left a lot to be desired, other than that quite serviceable.

It is not good. I dont know how this become a famous thing in England but the sausage roll is blend and greasy, obvously reheated frozen staff. Shop was not really clean, shelves were not restocked. Staff was tired and deffinietly not happy to be there. I had to wait more than 20 minutes to get my sausage rolls when it was not a really busy morning.

Visited Greggs near Earls Court Station during my trip to London. Unfortunately, the service experience was disappointing. As tourists, language differences can happen, but the counter staff showed very little patience or friendliness when communicating with customers.
The food was acceptable, but hospitality and customer service matter a lot, especially in a busy tourist area. Friendly communication and a little understanding would make a big difference.
Personally, I still find Asian countries much stronger in terms of warmth and hospitality towards visitors. Hope the team can improve the customer experience for international tourists in the future.

Greggs is no longer what it used to be, those 99p bakes are history, and that's a real shame. The prices here are also higher than other branches I've visited. That said, I have to be fair, the staff are lovely, the bakes are always fresh, and the coffee is great. So while I miss the old Greggs, my taste buds still enjoy the quality. Just wish the value hadn't disappeared.

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
