  This review is intended as constructive feedback to help improve the experience for both customers and Tesco colleagues. After several visits to this Tesco Express, I have noticed a number of recurring issues that I believe deserve attention from management. One of the main concerns is the refrigerated section. During many visits, a large number of fridge doors are left open, sometimes around 30% to 40% of the cabinets. This appears to happen regularly and should be monitored more carefully. Maintaining the correct temperature of chilled products is essential for food safety, and customers should be able to trust that refrigerated displays are operating correctly. The bakery section is another area that needs improvement. Products are displayed in open baskets without any protection, and I have personally seen customers handle items with their bare hands and place them back afterwards. This creates an avoidable hygiene concern. Customer service also needs attention. Simple questions often become unnecessarily complicated because staff members frequently do not seem to have basic information about products or store procedures. The organisation and use of space are perhaps the biggest challenges. The store is already very small, with narrow aisles, yet large restocking cages are often placed in these limited spaces. This makes it difficult for customers to move around comfortably and creates unnecessary congestion. Customers frequently have to apologise, wait, or ask others to move just to pass through. The checkout area also feels overcrowded, with boxes, extra displays and delivery drivers waiting for Uber Eats and Deliveroo collections. The front of the store can appear disorganised, and the current layout may be particularly challenging for customers with mobility difficulties. This feedback is not intended to criticise individual employees, but to highlight recurring issues that could be improved through better organisation, supervision and attention to customer experience, accessibility and food safety. Tesco Express stores play an important role in local communities, and I hope this feedback is taken positively as an opportunity to improve this particular branch.

  By far the best part of this store is the bakery and the baker. Excellent customer service. Absolute 5 stars. Tesco's croissant and batons are way better than in Waitrose next door. (ALDI Coulsdon doesn't have any fresh baked products). The rest of the store and staff is "meh", uninspired item choices, and pricey. But it's a great place to quickly grab a meal deal or something freshly baked...
