Don't steal ketchup!
I witnessed a small rumble this evening involving a lady who I believe tried to steal ketchup. There was lot of staff members involved trying to tame that lady. Regardless of what the lady did or not do, one of the staff members shouted at some point 'I dare you, I'll break your fu$#)ing teeth' and IMHO it was very rude and very unprofessional especially with customers around. Later after that situation the staff members seemed to be quite happy and proud about how the situation developed.
What else to say here? Genuine situation that took place in this Tesco. No advice to management as most likely they were around, or perhaps involved.

Security guards and workers today treated me absolutely horribly. We paid for our things. One of the meal deal items was reduced so I got some of them and paid for them separate so it didn’t take off the deal for my actual fuel meal deal. As we go to leave the security guard aggressively approached me and said show me your receipt. I said I haven’t got a receipt and showed him I’ve paid. Keep in mind while being in the shop multiple being grabbing things just walked out and the security guard took no notice, I have a good idea why…
He then proceeded to query why I did two transactions, I said so I could still use the meal deal deal, he said no you haven’t paid for the second, despite me having my phone to his face with both transactions out of my bank as I used Apple Pay. Again, very clearly paid. Again he said I need the receipt, the ratty little workers came along with the receipt for my smaller transaction and said it’s not all been paid, again he aggressively started saying I need to pay for all of it, and again I showed him both were paid through my bank I never get a receipt here. I asked him multiple times did we not scan the bag? As we did the self service but you have to ask the till for a bag. He ignored. I asked again is all this because of the bag because there’s no point waiting for the other receipt if it’s because of the bag, I can just go and pay for the bag now rather than waste everyone’s time. I genuinely didn’t realise this wasn’t paid for or I would’ve just sorted it straight away, the workers also normally scan this for you. After more ignoring me talking to him the other worker brought the other receipt after about 6 minutes of me standing there being ignored, and yes, it was because of the bag, not the £11 I was accused of stealing. Again, stood there like idiots when he could’ve just told me this as it was a genuine mistake. I was then physically walked over and watched pay for it. I don’t care, I made a genuine mistake but all it would’ve taken was one of the workers to say you didn’t pay for your bag, or the guard to nicely say can you pay for your bag rather than being horrible, abusive and aggressive to me. He allows multiple people to walk out without paying for any of their stuff but I get shouted at and crowded by three workers and a security guard for a 40p bag?? After spending £20?? I’m so upset at how I was spoken to and will not come back here again, I’ve spent hundreds here previously and have never been treated like this it’s so disappointing. All it needed was one person to say can you pay for your bag.

Just a reminder to the late night staff, especially the door security, closing time is 2300 and NOT 2255.

This is the first negative Google review I’ve ever written, and that alone should say how disappointing this experience was. I rarely complain because I understand that customer service can be demanding, but what happened here was completely unacceptable.
I want to make it clear that this review is not directed at the entire team. Most of the staff at this Tesco Express are genuinely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately, one particular member of staff completely ruined what should have been a straightforward visit.
I simply asked a question about a promotion, expecting a polite explanation. Instead, I was met with an unnecessarily rude, dismissive and disrespectful attitude. The way I was spoken to was completely unprofessional and made me feel as though asking a simple question was an inconvenience. There is never an excuse for treating a customer with such disrespect.
I work in face-to-face sales and customer service, so I understand better than most that employees deal with difficult customers every day. That’s exactly why I know there is a professional way to communicate, even under pressure. This wasn’t a case of a difficult customer, it was a member of staff choosing to speak to someone in a way that fell far below the standard I would expect from Tesco.
The photos attached are of the employee involved in the interaction described above.
What concerns me even more is that after reading previous Google reviews, I realised that my experience appears to reflect a pattern. Other customers have described very similar encounters involving the same employee. Knowing that this behaviour has apparently been raised before makes it even more disappointing.
We also reported the incident to the duty manager on Monday 13 July, hoping it would be taken seriously. Unfortunately, we left feeling that our concerns were dismissed rather than properly addressed, which only added to our disappointment.
One person’s behaviour should not overshadow the hard work of the rest of the team, but unfortunately it does. I sincerely hope Tesco investigates this matter and takes appropriate action, because no customer should be made to feel disrespected simply for asking a question.

No chance of giving 0 star, they close before than the time its on display, the security is not letting one in from 10:54pm, including me there we were 4 people who were not been served that to on the day of england match, if you have this type of team you will surely lose sales, transactions & trust.
