  Highlight of the night was mandy, she was so amazing and treated us with such kindess and even apologised about out food being later as they were cooking it fresh, mandy you legend

  Terrible service. Paper roll run out did not get receipt. Let staff know about it no one pay attention got my order opened the bag in my car one item was missing had to come back to sort it out started to explain the situation to staff member who was behind the counter (Joseph) he just did not want to listen to me interrupted me on the first word “give me a second” and dissapiared. Terrible behaviour with customers. All walking around as zombies.

  Placed an order via the mobile app at the Swineshead Road branch on 27/08/26. Upon arriving at the drive-thru, we were told the order hadn't come through on their system. The young lad at the window asked the manager (Kim) for help FOUR times — she completely ignored him. Other staff came and insisted we needed an email confirmation or bank statement, even though we had proof of order on the app. One female team member actually offered to make the food and sign it off as a promo, since half the order had come through — but Salary Manager Kim shouted from the kitchen and overruled her. A male staff member was then sent to our window, spoke down to us in a patronising way, and refused to accept the bank statement we provided — because the payment was "pending" (even though Nationwide shows all transactions as pending until the next day). He also refused to give us a refund, with no explanation being given as to why. Salary Manager Kim then yelled at him to tell us to drive around again because we were "holding up the drive-thru." When we asked to speak to her directly, she stormed over, leaned out the window, raised her voice, and spoke over my mum very rudely. When I raised a finger to gesture for her to let my mum finish, she accused me of putting it in her face — which was impossible, as I was on the passenger side, furthest from the window. We left with no food and no refund. We're now raising a dispute with Nationwide. Kim's behaviour was disgusting — not just to us, but to her own staff, who she ignored and overruled when they were actually trying to help. Clearly a toxic workplace culture there. Avoid this McDonald's. You'll waste your time and money.
