The Plough Inn

A welcoming country pub on the edge of Plumpton village in East Sussex. Visit The Plough and enjoy a great range of drinks and freshly cooked, traditional pub food either inside or in our beautiful, spacious garden, which has a children’s play area. We are dog friendly. The pub is in sight of the South Downs and only a short distance from Plumpton Racecourse - a great pit stop before or after a day at the races. A perfect option for lunch or dinner, or just enjoying a refreshing drink in picturesque surroundings. The Plough has an interesting and important history linked to the D-Day operations of 1944 and a memorial to fallen comrades proudly stands within the pub grounds. The Plough is close to Lewes, Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath.
