Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

The food was freezing cold and the staff was staring at me and my friends like we was doing something wrong. I was just trying to eat my cold sausage roll in peace

Never order from here! Ordered from here 10+ times and the order has never ever been right. Always things missing or getting sent nonsense like cheese salad sandwich when ordering tuna mayo baguette (my colleagues are lactose intolerant so this was beyond a joke as I wasnāt ordering just for my self). And if you do decide to order from here prepare to get the order your self as itāll take over an hour or drivers will accept to then cancel the order or when itās missing things they tell you to go in and get it from there so youāve clearly got it you just canāt manage putting 4 things in correct bagsā ļø Iāve worked in a busy fast food place for many many years itās not that hard common now itās to the point I think itās deliberate at this point and itās always Ā£20+ orders for work and so disappointing telling some people their food didnāt arrive⦠absolute joke fix up itās legit not that hard maybe hire better staff and change! And maybe owner too since weāre all funding his prison snack fundā¦
Month later update: got sent a rock solid tuna crunch sandwich⦠honestly how hard is it to send a alright sandwich out⦠considering itās COLD it shouldnāt be that hard⦠but yet the bread was harder than a walnut.. acc a joke. Got 4 sausage rolls that never arrived šš» got refunded less than what they cost also⦠donāt ever order takeaway here they will send you the old stock thatās been sitting around and skip half your order if they need the stock to sell inside⦠how hard is it to make frozen bakes m8š„±šŖš¤ and yes I worked and managed many fast foods but this is awful⦠for me to come back and update my review to even more poor is unheard of but here I am! Honestly if you read this far buy your self some frozen bakes and cook them at home! At least youāll get what you paid for :)

What happens to your leftover food?
Weāve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though weāve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
Weāre no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
