  The service was decent, and the atmosphere was average, but the food unfortunately wasn't very good, our dinner was late so we could understand not everything on the being available but the issue was with the substitutions as they weren't what we'd ordered, and the food that did arrive was unfortunately cold and of poor quality, personally I would avoid coming back for food

  Wishing all the staff all the best for the future in this difficult and challenging times. Feel it's a bad decision by Whitbread to closed down the Langton Inn location. Visited for breakfast many times. Had a great experience, we were served by a lovely lady. Food was really good, nice and hot. Good location and very convenient for breakfast if staying in the hotel.

  Went here for dinner and the staff and food were great. Friendly and happy people. Food was great also.

  Oh Dear! What happened. Went for a meal on Sunday 12th April. First off, had to wait ages for the meal to finally arrive. Rump steak was off the menu so, my wife and I ordered sirloin steak. My Father-in-law ordered the beef Sunday roast. Well when the meal arrived, the steak looked like it had been cut off a anorexic cow. My wife complained about her steak as it was barely eatable. When her meal came back, wow what a difference. It should have looked like that on first presentation. I should have sent my steak back as it was only barely better. Even the salad on the first meal looked Ropey, but on the second one looked fresh and edible. The Sunday roast didn't fare much better, with my Father-in-law saying it was the worst meal he had ever had there. Come on table table. Get your act together or you will losing customers to McDonald's.

  Oh dear, totally NOT recommended. I wasn't expecting anything fancy but we had a very grumpy greeting when we arrived. I ordered a Mojito and was served a cold glass of soda water ("they must be looking after your health and given you the alcohol-free version!" There is no alcohol free version on the menu. And also, thank you for taking notice of the fact that I'm bald because I'm on chemo. I needed reminding about my health issues). I couldn't have an ordinary Mojito because they'd "run out of the packet mixes", so I ordered an Aperol. That came with ice, no slice of orange and a long red hair stuck to the glass. We ordered our food, a burger and a sirloin steak, well done. Credit where it's due, the service was fast but the steak wasn't well done and had to go back. My husband enjoyed his burger and my steak and fries were fine. The peas were like bullets and there was half an extremely tasteless tomato. The burger might have tasted fine but it obviously wasn't because my husband has had food poisoning today and he ate nothing else yesterday which could have caused it. We will NOT be returning and will advise others to avoid at all costs.
