I visited this Subway at lunchtime and unfortunately had a very frustrating experience.
I initially asked for a jacket potato and was told there were none available, so I ordered a toasted Italian sub instead. My sandwich was heated but then left open while another customer’s order was prepared, so by the time the order returned to me it had already gone cold.
While my sandwich was being prepared, I overheard another customer successfully ordering a jacket potato. When I asked again, I was told that there were still some available after all. As jacket potato was what I originally wanted, I requested one.
However, after already waiting in the queue, placing my order and paying, I was told to join the back of the queue and wait all over again. I found this particularly frustrating as the situation had arisen because I had been incorrectly told that no jacket potatoes were available in the first place.
The whole process took around 30 minutes and by the end my sandwich was dry from being reheated and cold again from the additional waiting time.
What was most concerning was that the staff appeared very inexperienced, unsure of stock availability and uncertain about how to manage customer orders during a busy lunch period. This branch is located within the university and becomes very busy at lunchtime, so it would be helpful to have more experienced staff available to support newer team members during peak hours.
I appreciate that everyone has to learn, but today’s service felt disorganised and unnecessarily frustrating.
I hope the management team will review the staffing and training during busy periods, as the current setup does not appear to be working effectively.

Tried the jacket potatoes today, barely any beans. I literally got one bites worth of beans … for £5.39… it’s literally a scam. The picture is the potatoe before I even ate it. This is how it came

Not as bad as the reviews- did come on a Saturday though- probably quieter because of the lack of students!- edit 1 month later- no bread no salt barley any veg on Saturday!
