  Truly awful and upsetting experience. I work as a Field Brand Ambassador, I entered the Store to carry out said work. As I walked in a female colleague said “not interested” in a loud aggressive tone and manor. I tried to explain why I was there, I was cut off to the same response “I said I’m not interested”. Customers and other Tesco Colleagues were all within distance to hear the interaction which was I was felt to be belittled and embarrassed. I explained I’m there to carry out Tesco approved Head Office activity. I was told “there is no room”. I was then directed to the warehouse, I was informed by a different colleague that the lady I had my initial interaction with was the Duty Manager running the Store. A few minutes later the lady came into the warehouse, I approached to speak to her and was told “I don’t speak to the likes of you”. The interaction had racial undertones to it. Very upset, disgusted and angry to be treated in this way.

  The refrigerated cabinets were not working, even though it was 35°C outside. This is completely unacceptable and not what I would expect from Tesco. The young man at the checkout was very polite, friendly, and helpful, which is the only positive part of my visit. However, the fridges were warm and not cooling the products properly. This branch seems poorly managed, and it's disappointing to see this level of neglect from such a well-established company. Because of the non-functioning refrigerators, I can only give 1 star.
