Everything was delicious I had roast beef which came with the most amazing mash, roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding then separate vegetables- carrots, cauliflower, brocoli and cabbage then a gravy boat of extra gravy. The veg was cooked really well, the meat melted in my mouth, will definitely be back
- TSthomas shawSep 18, 20265.0Had a brilliant meal at The Woolpack Inn. The pub itself was really clean, had a great atmosphere and just felt like a proper, welcoming pub. I went for the pie and chips. It might not be the prettiest plate of food, but it was absolutely incredible. The pastry was exactly as it should be, the meat was beautifully cooked and tender, and the gravy inside the pie was rich and full of flavour. The chips were a star in their own right — properly crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Exactly how chips should be. There were plenty of other things on the menu I fancied as well, so I’ll definitely be going back to try something different next time. Great pub, great atmosphere and seriously good food.
- BSBridget ShepherdSep 13, 20261.0Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. We visited on a friday night at 8.30pm for the karaoke. From what I saw, the place was divided into 3 sections with open arch doorways so no sound proofing between the areas. 1st section was the karaoke. This had a friendly DJ. All the users of the pub were friendly but there were children sleeping on some of the chairs and on the floor in front of them. Kids were running around. The whole place was like a creche. The 2nd area had different music playing and a TV. On the whole a poor atmosphere and very loud which lots of conflicting noise. My friend was served a short measure of port and was faced with a rude bar person when questioned about it. And there was NO beer??? What the hell. Will not be coming back or recommending to others. Shame as it has potential and looks very inviting from outside.
