    I’ve been going to this Subway regularly for around a year now, and I honestly didn’t want to leave a bad review because I go in fairly often, but it’s got to the point where it’s ridiculous. There’s one worker there — the tall skinny Asian guy — who is genuinely brilliant. Friendly, polite, works hard, and actually seems to care. If he’s working, I’ll usually have my sandwich made in 2 minutes. But if it’s the other staff members on shift, somehow having 3 people behind the counter makes the service 3x slower. No sense of urgency whatsoever. Customers will literally be standing waiting while staff are on their phones, talking to each other, or disappearing into the back. It genuinely feels like customers are an inconvenience to them. The hygiene side is also concerning. Multiple times I’ve seen packaging boxes and cardboard fall directly onto the meat, salad, and ingredients, and nobody seemed bothered or even replaced the food afterwards. They just shrugged it off. The attitude is probably the worst part. People have mentioned the slow service before and instead of improving, staff get defensive and rude about it. It’s frustrating because this place could actually be decent with the right staff and management, but right now the experience completely depends on whether the one good worker is there or not.

    This isn’t a one-off bad visit — it’s a pattern. I’m local and have been in multiple times over a longer period, and the same issues come up every time. Staff are often in the back with no presence at the counter, leaving customers waiting with no way to get attention. I’ve genuinely seen people walk in, wait, and just leave. When they are serving, it’s slow and lacks any urgency. There’s no sense of customer flow or prioritisation — it feels disorganised rather than busy. The biggest issue is hygiene. Gloves are used poorly — handling different food types without changing, touching their face, and continuing to serve. Jewellery beyond a simple band is being worn during prep. These aren’t minor things, they’re basic food standards. What makes it worse is consistency — this isn’t a one-day slip, it’s every time I’ve been. I actually stopped eating food from here because of it and only occasionally grab cookies, but even then the same issues are visible behind the counter. Overall, it feels poorly managed, with no accountability or standards being enforced. It needs proper oversight, retraining, or a complete reset of how the place is run.

    I had a disappointing experience at this Subway. I went in to redeem a reward for a free cookie or crisps, and there were no terms and conditions stating that a purchase was required. However, when I tried to redeem it, I was refused unless I bought something. The manager insisted that I had to make a purchase, which felt misleading and unfair. Overall, it left a negative impression.

    Beans for baked potato were cold. You’re supposed to heat them in a bowl with the potato until piping hot. 2nd time in a row this has happened so clearly standard practice here.

    They should check the veggies if they are in condition of serving someone before cutting them. The other day I ordered a veggie subway and a rotten tomato slice was coming out from the sandwich. Fortunately, it was visible clearly and I was able to remove it otherwise nobody checks the sandwich from inside if veggies inside are good or not. Please pay attention while cutting vegetables!
