I asked for extra sauce on my sub because I like it saucy, but the cashier was extremely rude and refused to give me more. What made this worse was that Subway’s policy allows customers to choose their sauces, yet the owner completely ignored that and refused my request, seemingly because he was concerned about his own profit. The attitude was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. I understand that businesses have costs, but speaking to customers rudely and ignoring the company’s stated policy is not acceptable. I left feeling very disappointed. I have eaten at Subway many times, but after this experience, I would seriously think twice about returning to this particular branch. Subway should make sure franchise owners follow company policies and treat customers with basic respect.
