- JWJ WMay 8, 20261.0This is my local shop but there is Always charity workers in the entrance now , . Not sure why this is allowed in 2026 . I was going to donate a few quid and guy tried to set me up a £15 a month direct debit and had to pay first one right that moment . So I just said I’m leaving . I don’t mind them on the streets asking as that’s in the public and there is loads of space to walk past them but a shop shouldn’t be letting their customers get harassed by companies who take 3/4 of the money . Unless co op is also in the long queue of people who take the charity money ? In 2026 with all the social media or could go round with leaflets through doors you don’t need to pester people in shops who just want a pint of milk. Will have to walk up in to town in future
