Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Today, Tuesday, the bacon baguette & a water I had was bang on. I will certainly return, and probably very soon. Unhappy with my initial placement of my campervan, and remembering as a van lifer to always park with a quick exit in mind, I parked with the tailgate up and facing to the road and sat watching Tv whilst making coffee on the stove outside. The sun rapidly recharged any lost electricity from the leisure battery installed in the van as the day was warm. There where some people on the CB but I didn't hear clearly who it was. Nonetheless, it's good to know they are there.
I felt good, with bacon, crunchy warm bread and a small dog waiting for some next to me, fresh coffee and all this electric is free, I felt lucky, blowing like weed in the wind with no true direction, attracted by bacon, free parking and whether the dog can go there, I believe the spirits of my Parisi tribal ancestors have guided me to this place. I'll be there, Tuesdays.
The parking, per visit during the day is 3 hours.

Greggs on Harrogate Road in Chapel Allerton is a lovely and convenient place for simple, comforting food. It is great for a quick pastry, snack, coffee, or breakfast when you need something affordable and reliable during a busy day.
I also appreciated that the staff checked whether I was vegetarian instead of making assumptions. As someone with an East Asian background, I found this thoughtful and respectful, because dietary preferences should not be guessed from appearance. It made the service feel considerate and inclusive.
A pleasant Greggs branch with good value, convenience, friendly service, and reliable everyday food.
Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.
What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
