About

BakeryGreggs
We’re best known for our iconic bakes, fresh sandwiches, delicious hot drinks and sweet treats. Over eighty years ago, John Gregg started out with one goal: to deliver (by pushbike) fresh eggs and yeast to the families of Newcastle. Ten years later, he chained up his bike and opened Greggs of Gosforth. Since then, we’ve opened more and more shops and have become something of a Nation’s sweetheart. Our menu has also changed with the nation’s taste. Long-standing Greggs fans among us may even remember the olden days before the hotly debated Vegan Roll, or our refreshing iced drinks. Whether you’re into a hot sandwich, a pasta salad, some delicious chicken goujons or a fresh cold sandwich – our meal deals are doing the most in a mouth-watering way. Bundle on whichever side takes your fancy. We’re talking crispy Southern Fried Potato Wedges, a classic bag of crisps, protein-packed egg pots, fruit pots or creamy yoghurt. Plus, grab a drink to top it all off. From a classic Latte or a Mocha to a Raspberry Lemonade or a crisp Iced Mango & Strawberry Cooler – it’s yours. Pre-order on Click + Collect to skip the queue like a VIP, or get what you want delivered to your door via Just Eat or Uber Eats. Whichever way you have it - there’s definitely one thing better than a Greggs – and that’s a FREE Greggs. The Greggs App has never been tastier. Packed full of seriously stomach-rumbling news, rewards and ways to order – it really is the inner circle for all things yummy. Plus, it’s a sure-fire way to bag some free treats - and who doesn’t love a free treat?

.. decided to give them a chance and get a breakfast baguette, as a result it's the worst that I have tried, just a cold beacon put into a pool of ketchup, no sign of omelette either despite the fact I did ordered that, huge turn off, avoid, service is outrageous, the Asian guy at the counter works without gloves, kept robbing his fingers all over my coffe cup right at the sipping place.... just can't understand all the fuss about Gregg's name,... below average

The Indian man behind the till tried to scam me. Ordered a sandwich, water and 2 sausage rolls. Order came to £11.50 had to ask for the receipt, seen he added 5 sausage rolls onto the order. He tried to play it off like a mistake but noone punches 7 sausage rolls into the till without knowing what they're doing. Scum. Watch out folks

Called in for a cappuccino and 2 steak bakes.. No cappuccino only black coffee which was so weak i thought it was tea .. 2 stake bakes were stone cold .. the 2 guys behind the counter couldn't have cared less, they refused to heat them up .. We are up and down this road quite often but this was our first visit to Greggs ..Never ever again I only gave on star because I couldn't give none ..

Frequently Asked Questions About Greggs

What are your opening times?

Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.

What happens to your leftover food?

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations. This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes. In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve. We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection.
