I live on the new build estate and have never been here since the recent owners have took over since not feeling welcome at the cookhouse during Covid. On entrance into the pub. I was really impressed of how nice it was inside and very modern, clean and tidy. The young lad on the bar welcomed me as I came in and then realised we both knew each other too. So unfortunately I’m biased but his customer service was brilliant, I needed some help picking food I always like to ask the staff’s recommendations as normally they’ve tried many items from the menu. I ordered the 3 for £15 deal which I think was a great deal for the size of each of the portions. I ordered the tenders with the gravy wow keep thinking about them and that’s dangerous as I live 2 minute walk away. The chill and salt potato tots were the exact same 10/10. The garlic bread with cheese was nice, honestly about a 8/10 just needed to be taken out a minute earlier. But as previous experience in my last job of being a chef for 3 years the food was up to my high standards, presentation was great. We had initially just planned to come for two pints while watching the Belgium vs Iran game. But after seeing the wide range of eye catching items and the lad’s recommendations i couldn’t resist. Came out within 10/15 mins of ordering and it was fairly busy outside with people eating too. Heard no complaints about the Madri off my mate as he went back for another and I also had two bottles of recordalig with fresh glass and ice each time. Prices where good pub prices for the pints. The tv outside is a game changer during this wonderful weather. Thanks to the the lad on the bar making us feel at home. It was easy to talk outside but also had the atmosphere of people reacting to the football which is what you want when watching it. Don’t have a bad word to say. I’m glad I tried there as it will now be my regular pub for food. Pints for the football or after the gym! I also like that you hire young people and give them the opportunity to learn new skills they will keep for life!

I live close by, and it’s my go to, for food, sport, and pool. I also run a business providing days out for adults with autism, and I bring them here twice a week, and they absolutely love it. We are always well looked after by Asha, Kelsi, and Luke, and all three are lovely young people, who really know how to make customers feel welcome, with their kindness, polite demeanours, and their efficiency, and they treat us really welll, and make us feel extremely welcome. We enjoy chatting to them when we are here.
