First time visiting the Preston branch and it reminded us of why we fell in love with Wingstop in the first place. The food arrived surprisingly quickly and was absolutely spot on, full of flavour and very filling. The service was excellent too, which is a rarity in the bigger name establishments these days.
Basically, the total opposite of our experiences at the Bolton Middlebrook branch 👀

We recently visited Wing Stop Preston with family, and came away with very mixed feelings.
On the positive side, the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and the menu offers plenty of choice. There are lots of sauces and options to pick from, and the food itself was fine – perfectly acceptable, with a good variety.
However, we didn’t find the chicken wings to be anything special or noticeably better than what you’d get at a regular bar or street vendor.
The main issue, and the reason we will not be returning, was the atmosphere. It was uncomfortably loud and frankly unpleasant to sit in. The music was blasting to the point where we literally had to shout across the table just to have a basic conversation. In the end we spoke to the staff to ask if it was possible for the volume to be turned down, only to be told: “We’re sorry but we have no control of the music.”
We found that extremely strange.
After doing some research on Google, it seems this is not just a one‑off issue, but part of the wider brand “experience” and marketing strategy. In my view, it’s a terrible strategy – one that seriously needs to be reconsidered and fast.
When a place is so loud that it’s difficult to relax, talk, or enjoy your meal, it stops being a fun casual dining experience and becomes something you just want to get through and leave.
I initially thought I might just be being a bit sensitive as a 36‑year‑old man, but the two 15‑year‑old girls with us – who had actually been excited to come after seeing Wing Stop all over social media – also found it overwhelming. They described it as overrated, didn’t enjoy staying there to eat, and ended up with headaches from the noise and generally harsh environment.
Despite the good staff and plenty of menu options, the extreme noise level and unpleasant atmosphere were bad enough that we simply wouldn’t choose to come back.
Amar on the till and Kofi on the service and till both are amazing. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 best service we had. They made sure our complaint was heard and they solved it with patience right there n then. Really appreciate workers like them. Love love love

Had a fantastic experience at Wingston in Preston. The food was delicious, but what really stood out was the amazing service from Saimah and Ines. They were both incredibly friendly, attentive and welcoming throughout, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Excellent customer service, great atmosphere and lovely food. Saimah and Ines are a real credit to Wingston. Would definitely recommend and will be returning! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Every piece of chicken had blood in it. When I complained, I was told this was "how the chicken is" and that it had been approved by the senior kitchen staff. I was only offered replacement wings or boneless chicken—there was no apology or offer of a refund.
After spending £15, I ended up throwing the food away. I won't be eating there again.
