We weren’t disappointed the steak and ale pie was excellent- tasty and piping hot and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The service was spot on and it was all such good value for money. We decided on the two pate options for starters and found the Ardennes and the smoked salmon to be simply delicious. Main course and I chose salmon fillet in parmesan sauce with rice from the specials board and special it most definitely was. Hubby chose schnitzel and chips and he was very happy with the chicken portion size and the chips were perfectly seasoned. We found the menu varied but not too much to be seen as fussy. The service was excellent and it was lovely to meet the new chef, Matty. He was extremely friendly and genuine. The old school background music was a nostalgic delight. Will definitely be back. 😍
