Robert the “Manager” has got to be the most miserable person this side of the Ice age… Not only do they open 5 mins late so he could carefully re-arrange the donut selection 36 times, no apology, everything is too much effort. Not a smile to be seen. “I’ll just see if there’s a baguette in the back” 3 mins later, returns with a frown and a dusty baguette. Worryingly this guy is a manager, I hope the other shop staff don’t think this is a great example of how to speak to customers. Do yourself a favour Greggs, either get him on a “Happy Course” or move him to washing Dishes so he doesn’t bring my Day down.

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
