When we arrived was told there was no table service and we had to order at the bar. No menus at the table so had to ask. Then we went to a really busy bar to try and order and the staff were telling each other the kitchen is shutting in 10 minutes. We eventually got served with 5 minutes to spare to be told it’s burgers or pizza only! Then we were asked had we booked and we said yes so then we were told ok you can order from the main menu but could not order any starters. I was flabbergasted. The staff were not attentive and made us feel that we were an inconvenience. We did make our dissatisfaction known to the person who served our food at the time. We ate our food and left as soon as we could. What a disappointing experience.

We asked for water and were told it was “over there” - with a nod of their head. We were informed we couldn’t order starters, just the main course. Presumably because the kitchen was closing shortly. The main course sea bass looked like a starter portion and we were told the brewery portion controlled the food. Overall the experience was not good and we won’t ever return. It’s a shame as we have been previously and all was good, and the place has character.

My wife and daughter ordered steak sandwich and would have expected some salad to garnish and steak on them not as tender as one would expect. Also asked for coffee which they said could not be provided as machine not commissioned?? First time here and would give it another go as the outside seating looks nice, hopefully the service and food will be an improvement next time
