Never again will I eat at a Tesco cafe. Burnley in particular, undercooked, cold food. Extortionate prices (£2.20 cans and £1.60 bottles of water - the same Tesco brand they sell 12 bottles for £2!) Had to ‘eat’ with our coats on as the air conditioning unit blows straight into the open plan cafe. Ordered £9.50 fish and chips - shocking, fish is pictured and the chips were rock hard and undercooked. Asked for no tartare sauce to have a massive splodge of it actually on the plate. The mushy peas were okay but cold. Lasted all of 2 minutes before leaving.

Excellent dining experience ✨️👌 Tesco Café, I can say have the best staff and are the backbone of the café and some of the best I've worked with from my previous hospitality experience. Given it's a small team, they are talented across many areas to provide you with superb dining. Food: (value for money) The food is made quickly on target to be at your table for anything less than 15-minutes. The orders are checked for precision accuracy and arrives hot and fresh! It's an absolute bargain for what you get in quantity and quality, especially. The best people work in the kitchen so you can guarantee the best in the food on your order. Some of my favourite items are the large breakfasts (filling) and recently the boxing day curry roll (tasty). Service: (impeccable) This is where I worked mostly with my manager and colleagues. The service is excellent, especially when you have the manager working with you as they are skilled at communicating with customers, they know the "ins and outs" of operations and requests and they lead a team to a customer-first service based approach. The staff assist and guide customers through the ordering process, are conversational, give off a positive aura, friendly approach and ask you how your day was and check in to see how your food is, and if there's anything else they can do for you - going above and beyond. Atmosphere: (casual) The dining area is spacious and the seating is soft and comfortable with booths and long back wall options available. The best spots are at the glass window which offers 6 x 2-seater tables along it overlooking the shopping floor beneath for a great view at height. Larger family friendly tables are also arranged for you and your friends to hang out as a group with plenty of table space. The music is regular shopping music but if you sit closer to the front counter area you can hear some of the best music from the kitchen speaker. The café is kept clean to a high standard and everyone is chilled and down to earth.

Waited an hour for a childrens pizza and chips. All the tables free were disgraceful and no staff cleaning them for people to use, cold food and not very good quality for the money, definitely would not come back
