  Extremely rude staff – humiliating and unacceptable experience I visited Tesco Café today for breakfast and ordered two full English breakfasts and a bottle of still water. At the drinks station, I saw bananas, mandarins, fruit juice and some small snacks. I genuinely believed these items were complimentary, so I took a bottle of water, one mandarin and a small packet of snacks back to my table. I do not speak English very well, which makes it difficult for me to understand everything. I did not take these items intentionally or try to get anything for free. I simply misunderstood and would have been more than happy to pay if someone had explained that they were not included. What upset me most was the behaviour of a female staff member with short purple hair. She came over and rudely snatched the items straight out of my hands. Her manner was extremely aggressive and disrespectful. I felt shocked, humiliated and embarrassed, especially because other customers were watching. Even if I had made a mistake, I am still a paying customer and deserve to be treated with basic respect. A simple and polite explanation would have been enough. There was absolutely no need to approach me and snatch things from my hands in such a rude manner. As someone who does not speak English well, I already find it difficult to communicate in certain situations. Being treated this way instead of being given a little understanding made the experience even more upsetting. I came to Tesco Café to enjoy breakfast, not to be humiliated in front of other people. This was completely unacceptable customer service. I hope the management takes this complaint seriously, investigates what happened and reminds staff that every customer deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their English ability. One star. The problem was not the misunderstanding about the items; it was the extremely rude and humiliating way I was treated.

  It's bright with wide ailes so progress can be made easily. Staff are helpful but a gold star to the café staff

  I just got out of Tesco, and I am outraged. I just left Tesco and I cannot believe that I spent £2.25 for a bottle of Pepsi. Tesco, please fix.😡

  This store staff needs reporting to not the manager who works their because you will never find him but higher management from head office.
