Probably the best supermarket shopping experience in the area. Because of its size it never feels busy and you can move around freely making for a much more pleasant shopping experience. Usually very well stocked with a very big range of products & the bonus is you don't get wet through going back to your car because it's underground.

I usually use the home delivery service which is fantastic, but I nipped in a few nights ago for a few bits, obviously I ended up with a basket overflowing with items. It was extremely heavy and I literally couldn’t carry it after I’d got some drinks, it was too heavy. So I put the basket down and pushed it along the floor with my feet, not bare feet, lol, I pushed it from the far end aisle to the ice cream and then with tubs of ice cream in my arms and the basket in the floor i slowly made my way pushing the basket along with my feet to the self service checkouts. Whilst doing this I saw 3 staff members and I know they saw me, but not one person offered to help me take the basket to the till. I couldn’t lift it to the side of th3 till either so I had to take the items out if the basket in the floor to pass them over the scanner. The staff member was more interested in laughing with his friend than assisting me. I had intended on asking for assistance when I began to push the basket with my feet but when I saw the first staff member ignore my situation I thought I’d see if anyone else would offer to help. 4 staff members in total saw that I was struggling with my basket and they blatantly ignored me. This was appalling customer service and they should be ashamed of themselves for not helping a customer who was clearly struggling. Before this happened I asked a staff member who was near the herbs and spices aisle if he could tell me where the Prosciutto had been moved to from the end of the aisle with the other Italian cold meats and it had been replaced with a selection of soups. I told him I’d looked where the cold meats section is and it wasn’t there but he was clearly not listening to me as he said it was with the cold meats. It wasn’t. I found it somewhere else, he was another staff member who couldn’t care less about assisting a customer. The staff who work the late shift are all ignorant, miserable and they have no interest in customer service. There only one guy on late at night who works the checkouts and he’s the opposite to everyone else, he’s a lovely guy, friendly, polite and helpful. The Asian man who wears a hat and supervises the checkouts is extremely arrogant, he literally told me to do my shopping earlier because he was miffed that he’d cancelled my shopping on the screen and he had to put it through again because he knew it was his fault. He’s a horrible person to deal with when I need the security tags removing off items, he tries to make me feel like I’m a total inconvenience with complaining under his breath, I heard him and confronted him and he denied it. He’s just rude.

I've been coming here for years. No complaints. It's still the best supermarket in town.

Really disappointed with the customer service at Tesco Accrington. Staff were unhelpful and came across as rude, with little effort made to resolve a simple issue. It’s frustrating to be treated this way, especially in front of other customers. Definitely not the standard you expect from a major retailer.
