Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

From the start I got abuse for asking a simple question and from there it just escalated!
I went in to get a treat for my 3yr old after her eye test and I asked if they take the 02 code and showed the lady who apparently was the manager as she told me later on! She just looked at me and said "I dont understand" I honestly couldnt have explained any better and I showed her the image on my phone with the 02/Greg's coupon thing for a £1 hot drink which init self explains it all. She then said I had an attitude and refused to serve me and my daughter.
The other lady who served us when I asked and showed the coupon on my phone understood immediately and said yes we do but its a regular. No issues all paid for. Sat down and my daughter started eating, then I heard the manager who earlier refused to serve me mocking me in the middle of the store to the rest of her employees so I asked her not to because I could hear her!
Its at this point she said I needed to leave because I didnt pay to sit in! She just stood there arguing saying shes the manager, shes right, pulling these faces teenage girls pull whilst her staff just stood there.
After some arguing back and forth about her attitude and how she needs to change and not talk about customers in front of them and other customers and how its not nice to kick a family out who bought food I eventually left with my daughter very disappointed at my first visit to this store and all the staff.
To make it worse the drink I was so looking forward to was horrible, which makes me think they made it that way on purpose.

If your gonna be closed. Poor management update your page instead of allowing regular customers travelling to your shop only to find it closed 😡😡😡

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
