  I really hope this review does not reflect badly on the regular staff, as my experience has generally been fine with them. My complaint is specifically about the manager, or whoever was visiting Co-op Café today. The way customers were spoken to and treated was extremely disappointing and, quite honestly, disgusting. Customers should be treated with basic courtesy and respect, regardless of the situation. The attitude and manner of communication I experienced today were completely inappropriate and made the whole experience very unpleasant. I would strongly encourage Co-op to look into what happened today and how customers are being treated by the person responsible. The regular staff should not be blamed for this, but management should understand that this kind of behaviour reflects very poorly on the store and on Co-op as a whole.

  I would like to pass on an absolutely massive thank you to a member of staff who went totally out of their way to help me. (I only wish I had the name of the person...... I hope my description doesn't offend 🫣🤭. He was on a motorbike was sometimes not just instore staff but a delivery driver too and had delivered to Scissett before and was bald??). I had ordered groceries to be delivered and by about 9pm it hadn't turned up. After speaking to a lady at the store and her not knowing anything about the order I did get a nearly immediate call back from a gentleman at the store (the one I am so so so grateful to). He had looked into it and even though it was paid for it had totally gone missing. By the time he rang me back he had already contacted their head office and reported all this and they said do a refund.....he had argued saying I am a regular customer and I urgently needed the items and he was willing to pick them pack them and deliver them to me that night!!! Head office said no so he gave me the number and asked me to give Head office a ring stating what he has stated. I was still getting "oh no. It will have to be a refund and to re order the following day" I explained that wouldn't be financially possible due to having to wait for a refund to clear in my account which would leave me without my much needed groceries for a few days!!! She spoke to her manager and within 15mins of the her ending the call with me the gentleman i had spoke to at Holmfirth had driven up to my house on his motorbike with my groceries......what an absolute star 🌟 now that is great customer service and he needs recognition!!!!!! x
