One member of staff was particularly rude. No cutlery on the table, which made us wait a further 5 minutes to eat our food after it was served. Service was slow, with only 4 other tables in the restaurant which is not acceptable. Shouting across the table to get the food ordered. And when the bill came, it was slammed down at the end of the table instead of asking who was to pay, with a possible smile. Which might of encourage us to pay the tip! I will not visit this restaurant again, despites the food being quiet tasty.

We visited Zizzi Hull as a group of nine, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt incredibly unwelcoming. Our waitress, Kaitlyn, was very short and snappy with us throughout the evening, which made several members of our group (who are all disabled young adults) feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. The service was also extremely slow. We had been waiting a long time for our food, and as we had to leave by 7:00 pm, I still hadn't received my dessert by 6:55 pm. I asked for it to be cancelled and refunded, but was told this couldn't be done, despite it seeming like a straightforward request given that it had never been served. To make matters worse, an additional £3.50 service charge was added to our bill despite the poor service we received. It genuinely felt as though we were a burden simply for choosing to eat there. At the beginning of the evening, I also noticed members of the waiting staff rolling their eyes while preparing our drinks behind the bar, which only reinforced the feeling that we weren't welcome. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. No customer should be made to feel like an inconvenience, and it's especially upsetting when members of a group with disabilities are left feeling uncomfortable because of the attitude they receive. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant based on our experience.

We popped into Zizzi ,Hull - which is on the top floor of St. Stephens shopping centre - on the evening of Monday 13th July 2026 for something to eat and the food was excellent. We had booked online, but there were plenty of free tables available when we arrived. Front of house waitress was very friendly and attentive, plus the service in between starters and main course was fast. To start we both had mozzarella Garlic bread with onions, which was plentiful and perfectly cooked 😋 and for our mains we both had pasta- Pollo Della Casa for myself, & Pomodoro for my wife. Again food was exceptional and the portion sizes were very generous and filling😋😋. I Highly recommend this restaurant.
