My family and I just went to the Beefeater Swanley and we were utterly disappointed. Nobody came to greet us at the entrance, despite being not busy at all. One waitress pretended that she didn't see us and the other went to have a good old chit chat with another table that has clearly been served already. We waited at the entrance for over 5 minutes (we had a booking for that time )before leaving

We visited on a Friday evening and only 1 lady was working.
You could see she was really unhappy as she was having to serve all tables on her own.
It took us forever to order our food and we were left waiting for ages between courses.
There was no vinegar, Salt or BBQ Sauce available.
Food came out cold and wrong orders.
Overall it was a terrible experience

I had to pay for the meal twice as their machine said it failed.
The payment had left account but they insisted I hadn't paid and made me feel like I'd done something wrong. They said the money should come back to my account soon. It didn't. They insisted I pay again and that the original amount was pending and would definitely come back.
I paid again
I've contacted my bank a day later to be told both transactions have completed.
Now I have to raise a claim to get my money back.

After waiting 10mins to be greeted and the person doing the greeting looked like he hadn't had a shower for a month, did not apologise for the wait and did not even smile. Made us feel very unwelcome, he then took us to our table right next to the servery on a tiny table which was more fitting for 2 people not 4. We was then offered to order drinks he was very abrupt and it seemed we were putting him out. We decided to go to Havester instead. A completely different experience. Beefeater could learn lesson on customer service.

Visited this morning for breakfast, without a booking (although the website doesn't say that bookings are essential) and was told that we couldn't be seated despite the restaurant being 80% empty. Unless there was a whole other dinning area that was packed out, their excuse of being 'busy' didn't ring true.
