  We sat in a big table by a large bay window with a view of the street- the layout is very cozy which is nice but a bit of a squeeze if you had a larger group. Our waitress Anna was absolutely fab and very charming. We came in with many small (messy!) children and she was great with them making us laugh and feel like nothing was too much trouble for her. We felt very looked after- the service was prompt and the kids menu is amazing- 7.95 for 3 courses is very decent and they can do a make your own sundae at the end :) Very lovely family restaurant but also has a calm relaxing atmosphere if you fancied a more grown up dinner! Many thanks to the staff and chefs!

  6 starts if I could lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, garlic bread edge crunchy very nice hungry when walking passed this afternoon and attracted in by their lovely garden, glad to find this (not so hidden) gem place for some light bites, will return !

  We had a booking at 2 pm and the mains didn’t come out until 3:40 and the restaurant was basically empty. The lemonade shots at the start were later than normal. The drinks order was taken 20 minutes after we were seated were then were delivered after our starters which took 40 minutes to arrive. We had to wait ages for our mains which some were cold and burnt. The starters weren’t cleared away until the mains had arrived and we had to request new cuttlery for our mains. They forgot sauces. Staff weren’t very attentive, we had to go up and ask for more drinks. Usually we are asked how our food it but we were completely ignored. We weren’t offered desserts and there was no effort from the staff. This was a shame as we love coming to ask and we’re completely disappointed as we had come for our grandads birthday.

  The waitress was fake and condescending from the moment we sat down. When we pointed out that the calamari was pure batter with zero flavour — not what you'd expect from an Italian restaurant — she got defensive and missed the point completely. She did swap it for prawns, which were fine. The food wasn't much better. The "Favourites Sharer" was mostly tasteless bread dough with a single mushroom thrown in. The kids' garlic bread was rock hard. Pretty poor across the board. The prawns, kids' pizza and olives were decent, but not enough to save the experience. I won't be returning to Ask Italian.

  I was so impressed with Ask Italian in Faversham. We showed up with a very large group and yes, we needed to be patient but the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and keep us updated on the progress of our table. We had a great meal and lots of laughter with the staff. I highly recommend it!
