  Visited Wagamama in Tunbridge Wells for a pleasant meal, with a little unexpected entertainment thrown in. I went for the teriyaki salmon udon noodles, while my dining companion had the chicken katsu curry and cauliflower bang bang. The food was perfectly enjoyable, although the chicken in the katsu curry was a touch chewier than expected. Nothing disastrous, just a chicken that seemed determined to make its presence known. The restaurant was fairly quiet, apart from a lively gathering of what appeared to be Tunbridge Wells' answer to the Peaky Blinders in one corner. They certainly brought a bit of atmosphere to proceedings. The real star of the evening, however, was Kirsty, who served us. She was exceptionally friendly, cheerful and welcoming, and genuinely made the visit more enjoyable. She deserves special recognition for her excellent customer service. If only every restaurant had a Kirsty! All in all, a pleasant meal, a bit of people-watching and absolutely first-class service. Kirsty was undoubtedly the highlight, although the cauliflower bang bang deserves an honourable mention for having the best name on the menu.

  Spent 50 min waiting for seafood ramen, only to have the waitress come and ask if I enjoyed my meal! No, I said. “It’s fine”, she said. No, it’s not fine. It’s the opposite of fine. And that’s why I will only enjoy your food via Deliveroo.

  I recently had a rice bowl dish delivered from Tunbridge wells branch very disappointing as had same dish delivered several weeks ago and the standard of food then both in taste and quality was 100 percent better disappointing

  We went here Saturday 26th August after seeing a show at the Trinity. The restaurant was not busy at all and yet the service was appallingly slow. As my husband has an allergy to certain nuts we had to wait for the Manager to take our order, which is completely understandable. However, we were still not allowed to order 2 coke zero's which is ludicrous. The so called manager walked past us at least 5 times, completely ignoring us and having a chat and a laugh with members of staff instead. Eventually we got her attention and all she done was take the order, no different to what another member of staff could have done. The service was the worse we had experienced in a Wagamama restaurant and very disappointed with the whole experience. My husband had the seafood ramen, very little broth, I had the Udon noodles with Chicken and Prawns. The prawns I could count on less than one hand and very, very small. The chicken was almost like it had been shredded and almost none existent. The best part of the meal was the side of mixed vegetables. At no point did the server think to offer us chopsticks or cutlery, once again we had to try to get the attention of a server to ask. Will certainly not be going back, service disgraceful and food just very average.
