  Extremely disappointing experience at Esquires Paddock Wood today. First, my Full English breakfast arrived with completely freezing cold beans, so I had to take my plate back to the counter just to have them heated up. To make matters worse, right as I was finishing the meal, I found a long hair baked into my food. On top of that, they had forgotten to give me the slice of cake I ordered, so I went up to the till to fetch my cake and inform them about the hair. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff member at the register was dismissive and rude, telling me I "should have brought the food up straight away if there was a hair in it." As a customer, it is not my job to quality-control their food, nor could I have reported it sooner when the hair was buried near the bottom. When I pointed this out, all I received was a insincere "oh well, sorry"—no proper apology, no offer of a refund, and zero accountability. Extremely unprofessional customer service and substandard food handling. Save your money and avoid this Esquires branch.

  Esquires has transformed the coffee shop scene in Paddock Wood. The place is immaculate with a great atmosphere, is very nicely designed and the staff are fantastic….Plus the coffee is great! Highly recommended.

  Had a really nice visit. I ordered the avocado and halloumi on toast which came as a sandwich which i was a bit confused about but was lovely nonetheless. One issue though was when i was about to leave I went up to the counter to grab a cake to take home for my mum. I asked the lady at the till whether the honeycomb rocky road had fruit in it as I know some do and some don’t and if it did I’d get something else as my mum doesn’t like dried fruit. They said no, checked with another staff member and assured me it had no fruit in it. My mum has just gone to eat the rocky road only to discover it has dates in it. It’s not a massive issue for us, just a bit disappointing as now she can’t eat it, but for someone who’s allergic or has intolerances this could be rather dangerous.

  First time trying Esquires and sadly very disappointed. The decor and interior is lovely, modern but rustic feel and loads of seating inside and outside. Sadly the waitress wouldn't do a special smaller version of the full English for my elderly Granny which I thought wouldn't be hard to accommodate. My full English arrived fast but sadly tasted bad. The scrambled eggs were destroyed, must have been microwaved from all the water underneath, no butter, seasoning or texture. Sourdough as much as it tastes nice, is too crunchy, tomato hadn't been grilled or seasoned which left it wet and sour, the Sausage was cheap poor quality and for £11.95, only given half a very soggy tasteless mushroom. The service is half table service half order at the counter which is a bit annoying. Only 1 rasher of Bacon sadly. No tabke service sadly. Very disappointed for the price. The other sandwiches and cakes look delicious, coffee was good but I definitely wouldn't recommend as a good breakfast place.
